This app allows you to search the web, but it also has a few other features in addition to the ones that you would find by accessing Google through Safari. One of the biggest new options is to search by voice, all you have to do is hold the phone up to your ear and speak, and it will automatically search for you. Also, you can do searches for local shops and businesses, and it will do a search based on your location (this is applicable for the iPhone only). It is really easy to view your search history and go back to repeat searches and look at previous results using this app.

The Google Search app for the iPod Touch / iPhone is one of the best apps out there and is definitely a must have for any mobile device owner.
