Google Earth for iPod Touch

Google has recently updated to Google Earth 2.0 for the iPod touch. (It is also available for the iPhone). Google earth is an awesome application, and it is the closest thing you are going to get to a free GPS app for the iPod Touch. If you have GPS support, the app will actually show you where you are in 3D surroundings. You can look at satellite view or street map, and you can even zoom in to street view so that you are looking at houses and buildings from eye level. You can even use this app to route travel, great for car trips and vacations.

Build Your Own iPhone Apps

For a while now there have been tons of great iPhone apps to choose from, nearly a limitless supply. But, from what I hear, you can make your own iPhone apps even if you know nothing about programming languages, using a service by AppBreeder – The Online iPhone App Builder. Now that anyone can design their own iPhone app, we are probably going to see even more great programs available for our iPhones. Google Books iPod Touch Application

Google Books is an awesome application that you can run right off of your iPhone or iPod touch. Imagine having a membership at a library with over 1.5 million books, for free. And now imagine being able to read any of the books on demand, no matter where you are in the world.

The cool thing is, this doesn’t have to just be imagination. This is real! With the Google Books application, you can read books on your iPod Touch, or read on your iPhone. It’s no question as to why this app has surged in popularity recently. Books are not dead! E-books or portable books, whichever you’d like to call it, it’s a great deal.

If you’re interested in newer books that may not be available in the free Google library, you can purchase copies that will be sent to your iPhone or iTouch. This is fairly similar to the service we see offered by the Amazon Kindle. Try out this great app – you may be able to download it for free from Google!
