Although there are plenty of paid applications on the iTunes store, there are many great apps that are totally free to download with no fees. The iPad has many great apps available that range from anything such as reading books on the iPad to playing arcade games on the iPad. Many of the apps that are available for free on the iTouch and the iPhone are also available for free download on the larger scale system, as all three of these systems have apps that are inter-compatible (although some iPad apps only work on the iPad due to it’s increased capabilities).

Free iPod touch apps, free iPhone apps, and free apps for the Apple iPad. What is your favorite?

Download iTouch applications today! One of the first things that is best to do right after you get a new iPod Touch or iPhone is download one of the many apps, or applications, available for the device. Some of these applications cost money (sometimes known as premium applications), while some of the downloadable apps for the iPod Touch are free downloads.

When you get the mobile device, there are a few default apps loaded on the device already. But if you would truly like to get the best use out of your device, you should download the best applications – there are some available that are useful, fun, or just plain weird. After you have downloaded several applications, you will then be able to get the use out of your device that Apple truly intended you to be able to.

One of the best apps on the iPod Touch (as well as the iPhone) is the main app put out by Google. This app allows you to search the web, but it also has a few other features in addition to the ones that you would find by accessing Google through Safari. One of the biggest new options is to search by voice, all you have to do is hold the phone up to your ear and speak, and it will automatically search for you. Also, you can do searches for local shops and businesses, and it will do a search based on your location (this is applicable for the iPhone only). It is really easy to view your search history and go back to repeat searches and look at previous results using this app.

The Google Search app for the iPod Touch / iPhone is one of the best apps out there and is definitely a must have for any mobile device owner.

Now that anyone can design their own iPhone app, we are probably going to see even more great programs available for our iPhones. If you make an app, be sure and post it here so that we can check it out!

Google Books is an awesome application that you can run right off of your iPhone or iPod touch. Imagine having a membership at a library with over 1.5 million books, for free. And now imagine being able to read any of the books on demand, no matter where you are in the world.

The cool thing is, this doesn’t have to just be imagination. This is real! With the Google Books application, you can read books on your iPod Touch, or read on your iPhone. It’s no question as to why this app has surged in popularity recently. Books are not dead! E-books or portable books, whichever you’d like to call it, it’s a great deal.

If you’re interested in newer books that may not be available in the free Google library, you can purchase copies that will be sent to your iPhone or iTouch. This is fairly similar to the service we see offered by the Amazon Kindle. Try out this great app – you may be able to download it for free from Google!
